Puddles of Love
Written by Shari Wells

Do you all remember one year ago? I couldn't get myself to Vermont to get three ratties I desperately wanted. You all sent me donations to pay for transportation to Vermont. I couldn't do that either. So Raleigh (Papparatzie) knew a friend locally who drove over 4-5 hours to meet up with the owner of the ratties and drove them back to me. That was October 14th, 2006. Ash, who was a full two years old when I got him, went to the bridge four weeks later. I offered $50.00 be put on an account in the event some poor soul needed financial help with vet expenses. That was one year ago. Last I was at the vets with Chaos and his nasty breathing, I inquired about the money and she told me that had over $800.00 in donations just because I left the $50.00 and got the idea going. Today, they have a really nice notice over the office window that reads, "ASH FOUNDATION" and tells about what it is used for. They told me about two weeks ago, they were given $2,000 as a gift for the Ash Foundation, from a frequent client. They now have $2,800 available to help the needy animals get the proper care. The first recipient was a little girl who's baby kitten needed surgery.
Imagine how many "foundations" you could get going all across the US (and UK and JA and AUS and Canada) just by starting a little puddle of love...
