MidWest Homes For Pets
MidWest maufactures the much desired Ferret Nation cages. These are wonderful habitats for rats but females and smaller males can usually squeeze out of them so some retrofitting may be needed. The best place to buy them online is through Ferret.com
The Critter Nation is out now and people are raving about them! They are basically the same as the Ferret Nation but the bar spacing is smaller so there is no retrofitting required to keep girls in their cage. The cheapest place to get them right now is at Pet Street Mall.

Cage Retrofiting
So, you have some junky old cage that you would like to try to salvage... Well, don't give up just yet, there are a few tips and tricks to bringing that old cage back to life! First off, there are some cages that SHOULD be dumped! If the cage is seriously rusty, damaged, or too small, you shouldn't even bother trying to redeem it. Just cut it up and throw it out! Save some poor rat from having to ever live in that again. However, if you have a nice, large cage with a bit of rust here and there and some other issues, then that cage may be worth the effort of giving it a second life.
Give your cage a new lease on life!
